CLASS OF 2014-FOOTBALL REGGIE ROBINSON: Groton resident Reggie Robinson went to NL High School and is a three time state champion in football. Reggie has been a youth football coach and is the co-founder of the Professional NEFL Football team the Southern Ct Sting. Reggie was a NEFL all-star and has won numerous awards throughout his NEFL career. Reggie Robinson does everything he can do to help the growth of football in southeastern, CT.

CLASS OF 2014-PRO BOXER- SHELLY “SHELITO’s WAY” VINCENT: New London resident, Shelly Vincent is has endured a lot throughout her life. Life has not been easy for her she has dealt with great loss. The loss of her mother and the loss of her innocence at a young age are to name a few traumatic events in her life. Shelly always had the drive to go beyond the normal human. Every time she is in the ring she is fighting for those who can’t fight for themselves. Shelly had success as an amateur boxer, winning several State and National titles. Her amateur record is 11-4, culminating in a National Golden Gloves Championship win in 2011. She is the current WIBA Super Bantam weight Champion with a 12-0 undefeated professional record.

CLASS OF 2014 PRO WRESTLER- WALT “BAD NEWS” SWAN: Walter Swan Grew up in Mystic, Ct however spent part of his childhood in London, England. Both his father was a police man and his mother was a school crossing guard. They were very kind and down to earth towards others. Walter Swan had a passion to be a professional wrestler. He stood 6’6 and weighed almost 400 lbs Walt was eventually trained and began touring the independent circuit. He often tagged with pro wrestling local Tripp Rider and together they had many memorable matches. Walt’s in ring persona “Bad News” he earned do to his animal and often times destructive actions in the ring. However outside the ring he was always kind to the fans especially the kids. He won the NEWA Heavyweight Championship, the RI Heavyweight Championship, RIWA Heavyweight Championship, and retired NEWA Tag team Champion with Gino Falcone.

CLASS OF 2014 BODY BUILDER-Dawn Whitham: Dawn Whitham is a resident of Mystic, Ct. She went to Fitch Senior High School where she excelled in track and field. After high school she earned a BFA (School of Fine Arts, Graphics and Advertising) Cum Laude from The University of Connecticut, Storrs Connecticut (UCONN), and minored in music performance. She won numerous strength and power lifting competitions and has a 365 bench press in official sanctioned meet. She switched gears and started competing in body building she won the NPC Jan Tana Classic, King Kamali, New York- First Place Heavyweight Division, Overall Winner of Show both Open and Masters Classes. Dawn has overcome many different surgeries and is a cancer survivor. Dawn is also a tattoo artist at 12 Tattoo’s.

CLASS OF 2014 ROLLER DERBY LEGEND FUNSIZE FURY: Funsize Fury is a resident of Groton, CT. She was with Shoreline Roller Derby for many years with The Underskated Knockouts and she has been a great asset to Shoreline Roller Derby in its beginning stages. In the peak of her career Funsize had a career ending neck injury. Funsize later became a co announcer for SLRD with fulltime announcer Rev Loaf. In her spare time Funsize volunteers with the non-profit organization the young Marines.
